Philip Rivers, the 44-year-old father of 10 and grandfather of one, has returned to the NFL, signing this week with the Indianapolis Colts after the team lost multiple quarterbacks to season-ending injuries.
Rivers, a devout Catholic, entered the league as a 2004 first-round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers and went on to play 17 seasons (2004–2020), finishing his career sixth all-time in passing yards, touchdown passes, and completions.
