Knight of the Month

For the month of September 2025, Council 9238 is delighted to select David Rogers as our Knight of the Month. David is one of the councils newer Knights and has jumped into volunteering with both feet! After being exemplified into the council earlier this year (at just 18 years old) David was active in almost every (if not every) event the council held. David was even attending TMIY men's ministry! As well as being a brother Knight, up until recently, David was also working at St. Nicholas as an assistant facility steward and doing a great job. Unfortunately for the council (but not for David) David just started his freshman year at the University of Washington. We wish David all the best in his studies and look forward to his returns to Gig Harbor. We are certainly blessed to have Brother David as a member of the Knights of Columbus and Parish 52.

Family of the Month

Council 9238 is honored to announce that Frank and Annette Bannon has been selected as September’s Family of the Month. Frank & Annette have supported the Knights of Columbus for years helping organize and run the council’s garage sale and other events. They are also ardent volunteers, both within St. Nicholas and beyond. They are longtime volunteers for Relay for Life, American Cancer Society, Multicare Children’s Courage Classic, and Multicare’s Festival of Trees.

Of course, they are also long-time parishioners of St. Nicholas. In fact, they were married at St. Nicholas in February 1969, and Annette was baptized in the old church, while Frank earned his Eagle Sout award there.

Frank & Annette were instrumental in reopening the historic old St. Nicholas Church after it closed due to mold. With the Archdiocese, the Bannon’s helped get the old church re-opened by helping to clean, repair and repaint it and it is now used almost every day.

Council 9238 is pleased to honor the Bannon’s as our Family of the Month for September 2025.
