Knight of the Month

Council 9238 is thrilled to honor Dr. James (Jim) Patterson as our Knight of the Month for October.

Dr. Patterson serves our council with great dedication as both Treasurer and Faith Director. With 25 years of experience as a committed member of the Knights of Columbus—17 of which he has proudly spent as a 4th Degree Sir Knight—he embodies the values we cherish. Dr. Jim is a familiar face at nearly every council event, consistently going above and beyond. He successfully coordinated this year’s council golf tournament, which was a tremendous success, and fosters community engagement by leading our monthly Rosary, welcoming all to participate. Together with his wife, Barbara, he passionately supports the 40 Days for Life program.

St. Nicholas Council is indeed fortunate to have Dr. James Patterson as a Brother Knight, and his unwavering commitment inspires us all.

Family of the Month

For the month of October, the Knights of Columbus is excited to select Ana and Daniel Johnson as Our Family of the Month.

Ana Johnson is an invaluable member of the St. Nicholas community, serving both as a dedicated parishioner and as part of the custodial staff. She passionately leads the Catholics in Recovery ministry at Parish 52, participates in the Seven Sisters ministry, and is an essential member of the OCIA Faith Formation Team. Ana frequently hosts Sunday Hospitality, fostering a spirit of community. She also volunteers for important annual events, such as the Tolentino Festival and Parish Clean-up Days, demonstrating her commitment to the parish's wellbeing. Her son, Daniel, shares in this mission by assisting with faith formation and Sunday Hospitality, and this summer he further contributed by serving on the Service Team at Camp Solanus Boys Camp. Together, they embody the spirit of service that enriches our community.
